Go to Settings > Boards.
Boards may not be turned on for your workspace yet. If you don't see Boards under Settings, it isn't available to you yet.
A board is a separate set of pipeline stages. If you write home loans and car loans and they move through different steps, give car loans a board of their own with its own columns, and keep home loans on the board you already have. That board is your main board, shown as My board until you rename it. Every deal sits on one board, and it stays on your main board unless a branch or a move sends it to another.
Boards are personal. Each broker keeps their own, and creating one changes nothing for anyone else on the team.
Before you start
- Managing your own boards needs the Manage Own Pipeline permission. Managing other brokers' boards needs Manage Pipeline Stages.
- If Boards is missing because of your role, ask an admin to grant Manage Own Pipeline under Settings > Roles & Permissions. See Creating custom roles and permissions.
Create a board
Step 1: Add the board
- Select New board, enter a Name (for example Car loans) and select Create board. Each of your boards needs a different name.
- You can also start a board from the Deals page: open the Board picker and select Add board.
Step 2: Set up its stages
- Lend1 opens the new board on the Deals page. With no stages yet, it shows Set up this board. Select Add stage for the first one, then add the rest with Add Stage at the end of the columns, the same way as on your main board. See Pipeline stages and stage outcomes.
- To come back to it later, open the board's menu on Settings > Boards and select Set up stages.
Step 3: Turn it on
- A new board starts Off. Before you can turn it on, it needs at least one Active, one Settled and one Inactive stage. That way a deal moved or sent to the board always lands on a stage with the outcome it already has, so an open deal stays open and a closed deal stays closed.
- Until then, the board's row shows what's missing, for example "Missing: Settled, Inactive", and Turn on is greyed out.
- When all three are there, open the board's menu and select Turn on. Its badge changes from Off to Active.
Please note: once a board is on, or while deals sit on it, you can't delete its last stage of any outcome.
Congratulations! The board is ready for deals. To send a branch's new applications straight to it, see Customising your Onboarding Portal.
Turn a board off or back on
- Open the board's menu and select Turn off. Select Turn on to bring it back whenever you like.
- Deals on a board you turn off stay where they are, in the same stage with the same outcome. They still show in the Table view, in search and on their own deal pages, and you can move them to another board.
- A branch set to send new deals to a turned-off board sends them to your main board instead. You can't move a deal onto a board that is off.
- Your main board is always on. It can't be turned off or deleted.
Rename, reorder or delete a board
- Rename: open a board's menu and select Rename. This works for My board too, so you can call it Home loans, for example. Clearing your main board's name sets it back to My board.
- Reorder: drag a board by its handle. Your main board always stays first. The Board picker and your dashboard list boards in this order.
- Delete: open the board's menu, select Delete, then Delete board. Its stages are removed, and this can't be undone.
- Lend1 won't delete a board that's still in use, and says why: it still holds deals, a branch still sends new deals to it, or one of your automations names it. Move the deals, change the branch or the automation first.
Switch boards on the Deals page
- In the Kanban view, the Board picker beside the search box chooses which of the broker's boards the columns show. It lists the main board first, then every board that's on.
- Lend1 remembers the board you last had open, in your browser.
- The Table view lists deals from every board together, with a Board filter and column. See Creating a deal and using the pipeline board.
Move a deal to another board
Step 1: Open the move
- Open the deal. In Deal details, the Board row names the board the deal is on. Select Move beside it.
Step 2: Choose the board
- In Move to board, choose a Board from the broker's boards that are turned on.
- Lend1 tells you where the deal will land, for example "It will move to Enquiry, the first Active stage on Car loans."
Step 3: Confirm
- Select Move deal. The deal keeps its outcome: an open deal lands on the new board's first Active stage, and a closed deal on its first stage with the same closed outcome, so it stays closed.
- The move shows in the deal's Recent Activity, and automations that use Stage Changed can run.
- Moving a deal needs Edit Deals, Update Deals or Change Deal Stage.
Please note: Theo can't move a deal to another board for you. Use Move on the deal page.
Who can see and edit someone else's boards
- Anyone who can already see a broker's deals can see that broker's boards and switch to them with the Board picker.
- Only someone with Manage Pipeline Stages can create, rename, reorder, turn on or off and delete another broker's boards, or change their stages. On Settings > Boards they choose whose boards to manage under Broker, where My boards is their own.
- With Manage Own Pipeline alone, you manage only your own boards.
